Ivermectin is one of the most popular mange treatment methods. Some eager pet owners think that if vets can use it, why not pet owners? We understand that there may be those who are qualified to use ivermectin, but unfortunately,t here are also those who would abuse it. Using ivermectin is not for amateurs. We strongly recommend that you do not use ivermectin unless you have experience, authority, and full knowledge of the treatment and how it is used. Ivermectin contains other additives that adapt it for certain uses, applications, and animal types. You should not indiscriminately use any ivermectin product on any animal.
• Ivermectin types vary in concentration. Ivermectin, as one of the most widely-used mange treatments, is used for cats, dogs, cows, horses, sheep, etc. Thus, ivermectin comes in varying concentrations. When trying to discern the correct dosage/concentration, you run the risk of administering an overdose of ivermectin. When you do, bad things could happen.

The bottom line is this. Ivermectin is a really powerful, really strong, and really specialized treatment. If you want to get rid of your pet’s mange, fine. Just take your pet to the vet and let he or she do the job of prescribing ivermectin. You’ll be glad you did.
